Year 3 have been continuing to work very hard as we approach the end of our first term and look forward to the Christmas holidays.
In Maths we have been consolidating and building on our knowledge of multiplication and division. The children have really impressed me with how well they can work collaboratively and support each others' learning...fantastic!
In our English we have been identifying and using the features of instructions. This week we had a go at "tickling our tastebuds" and made our very own "Stone Age Stew". There were mixed opinions about this but I was very impressed to see everyone have a try of something new.....you don't know you don't like it until your try it!
In Science we have started our new topic of "Rocks and soils" and are very much looking forward to some practical investigations as part of our residential trip to Stibbington in January.
We also have been busily practicing our Christmas songs in prepartion for our carol concert next week and the children are very much looking forward to making mums and dads very proud. The children have been fully immersed in our learning this term and hopefully can now tell you all about the Stone Age! Keep up with the reading and times table practice but most of all enjoy the holidays! Mrs McLay
