Year 3 Autumn News

Year 3 enjoyed a fantastic Stone Age experience on Tuesday, really bringing our history topic to life!

They had the opportunity to sit inside a replica Stone Age dwelling, learning all about how early man would of lived. The children were then able to handle some artefacts, exploring what they thought they were used for and to ascertain which time period they would have been from. Other activities included praticing the wattle and daub technique, using natural materials to make and design cave paintings aswell as designing their very own stone age pot. The children embraced the whole day enthusiastically and were able to successfully reflect back in class, stimulating their curiously and wonder!
