Year 3

Year 3 definitely made the most of British Science week last week becoming immersed in forces!

They were set the task to consider how gravity and air resistance would impact our “egg drop challenge”. The children had to design a method of transportation for an egg that was to be dropped from the climbing frame. The measure of success.......an unbroken egg!

There were many successes and a few splats along the way.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our second session at golf last week at Thorpe Golf club. The children got to have a go at putting and then got to use the drivers which was very exciting. I have been very impressed at how they are picking up the skills so quickly. They have behaved excellently and clearly listened very carefully to improve their swing. They are a credit to Barnack schools.

Our new accelerated reader target for the end of term is 4.5 million so keep up with the reading and the quizzes and I’m sure we will smash this!
