This week, year 2 had a fantastic time at Hamerton Zoo to support our learning about rainforests and the animals that live there.
We had a fantastic time, and the children loved linking their learning in the classroom to what they were noticing at the zoo. We got to see lots of animals, including 2 white tigers who seemed unhappy with each other, a bird that appeared to be copying any movements the children were making and a camel, who turned around just in time to show the children how they go to the toilet! Our favourite animals were the tigers, the gibbons and the two-toed sloths; who we had been writing about in school earlier in the week.
