What a fantastic day we had to round off our trip to Stibbington!

What a fantastic day we had to round off our trip to Stibbington! On our final day we were immersed in learning all about the Romans. This involved going back in time to Roman school, using a wax tablet and stylus and learning that only boys were allowed to go! The children had a go at making and trying the Roman delicacy, “stuffed dates” which seemed to divide opinion.

We explored the remains of Roman artefacts and had to be archaeologists, trying to make educated guesses about what they may have once been. We throughly enjoyed making the Roman tiles out of clay and brought them back to school to paint. The children were incredible on our trip and Miss Biddle and I were enormously proud at how well they coped with being away from home for two nights, as I am sure you were too! We are now looking forward to becoming fully engrossed in our big question, “How does adversity inspire courage and creative possibilities “ and continuing our learning journey back in the classroom.

Well done year 3.....you are awesome!
