Where does the time go? We are already several weeks into our Summer term and the Year 6s are as productive as ever.
In these first couple of weeks, in both maths and english, we have been in revision mode: recapping areas of the curriculum that we have learned throughout the year. The children have shown excellent attitude and application to their learning and it is showing in the quality and quantity of work they are producing.
Alongside the revision, we have started to explore our topic (WW2 & refugees) for this half term. Full of curiosity, the children have thoroughly enjoyed researching and learning about how World War 2 started, which countries were involved and the key events that happened throughout the six years. Excitingly, the knowledge that the children gain over the coming weeks (as well as our trip to Stibbington) will help to inspire our writing for this term.
