On Thursday 23rd March we went to Orton Wistow to play a friendly football match. It was a very competitive match against a good side!
The team showed great perseverance. The game ended with a 1-1 draw. Well Done Barnack!
On Thursday 30th March we played our mixed football league match vs Orton St John's here at Barnack.
The team showed great collaboration and played some amazing football. The game finished with a 3-1 win to Barnack.
On Wednesday 29th March we went to the Peterborough Netball Finals hosted at Thomas Deacon Academy. We played against all of the group winners from other schools such as Eye, William De Yaxley, Barnack, The Peterborough School, Hampton H, Wittering, Welland and St Augustine.
We showed amazing perseverance and managed to get ourselves into the knockout stages! We won 7-1 in the quarter final against Eye and then lost 6-5 to Wittering in the semi final. Despite the result, we kept our heads high and went on to play William De Yaxley for 3rd place winning the game 3-0! We placed 3rd in the tournament meaning we qualified for the Netball County Finals in May! Well done Barnack.
On Thursday 30th March we went to The City of Peterborough Hockey club to take part in a Year 5/6 Quicksticks tournament. We played against schools such as, St Botolphs, William Law, St Thomas More, Longthorpe and Winyates.
The children showed amazing collaboration as well as great team work! We only conceded 2 goals throughout the whole tournament and scored 15! We got ourselves in the knockout stages and played against St Thomas More in the semi final winning 1-0 which got us a place in the final. In the final we played against Winyates winning 1-0 meaning that we took home the trophy! We are super proud of our hockey team! Well done Barnack.
