After winning the Peterborough Lego league, our Lego team (Eco Electric) travelled to Harrogate on Saturday to compete in the national Lego league finals.
Competing against 67 other schools (including secondary schools) they took part in a range of activities. The team had the chance to try out their coding in the robot rounds, build new sustainable structures, present their research project to a range of judges and enjoy getting involved in the STEM exhibition. To finish the day off all the teams got together for the awards ceremony.
Not only did we manage to go up on stage once but we won two awards!
The Lego team came home with the Judges award for the best designed logo and plaque, and also a trophy for their motivation which included showing enthusiasm, our values, passion and teamwork.
Everyone is extremely proud of what the team has achieved this year. Thank you to our two parents and engineers from Perkins who have led the team and given the children an unforgettable experience.
Well done Eco Electric!
