Football news!

On Thursday 28th September after school we hosted our first league Girls Football match of the season here at Barnack. We played against Orton St Johns. Our girls were really focused and played amazing football. They showed amazing collaboration as well as great communication when passing the ball. It was a match full of goals and entertainment for the parents. The match ended 7-1 win to Barnack. Well done Girls.


On Friday 29th we went over to Winyates Primary School to play in a Mixed Football Match. Our children showed amazing collaboration skills when playing as well as great perseverance. The match ended in a 3-1 win to Barnack. Well done Barnack! On Wednesday 11th October our Year 5 and 6 boys took part in a Friendship Football Tournament at Hampton Gardens! It was an amazing experience as we have had the chance to play different schools from Peterborough including, St Augustine, Eye Primary, Kings, Fulbridge Academy, St John Henry Newman and The Duke of Bedford. We played some amazing football and our children showed great collaboration.

On Thursday 12th October we went to Jack Hunt School to take part in a Girls Football Tournament.


The girls showed great determination and enjoyed themselves thoroughly. We played against teams such as Orton Wistow, Winyates, St Botolph's, Orton St Johns, St John Henry Newman Oakdale, Baybrook and Sacred Heart. What a great day for it. Well done Barnack! On Tuesday 17th October we went over to St John Fisher to take part in the YDP Girls Football Tournament. Our girls showed amazing perseverance when playing difficult teams from other schools. We played against West Town, Stanground St John, Winyates, Orton St Johns and Hampton. We got out of the group and got to the semi finals! Unfortunately in the semi finals we lost to St Botlophs that went on to win the tournament. Well done girls! On Thursday 19th October we went to a Hockey Tournament at City of Peterborough Hockey Club. At the tournament our children showed some amazing collaboration playing against schools such as Winyates, St Johns, Kings, Abbotsmede, Hampton Hargate and Eye. Well done Barnack!
