As the new half term began, Year 5 worked had on their mid year assessment, giving us all a chance to celebrate our learning and the progress we have made this year. The week ended with a perfect pancake race. The children relished the opportunity to race each other and demonstrate their flipping skills.
This week we have examined David Almond's picture book: The Dam. We have explored the impact of dam on wildlife and described the atmosphere created by the illustrations and written detailed descriptions of the book beautiful settings.
