Exploring Hills and Mountains

Writer's picture: Lucy KentLucy Kent
In Year 4 this term we have been continuing with our hills and mountains topic. We have learnt about how mountains and hills are formed and have researched about Ben Nevis and Thorpe Cloud. We have been practising presenting news reports and have written newspaper articles based on a mountain or hill of our choice.

In science, we have been learning about sound and how we hear. This has linked with our computing topic on audio and podcasts. We have made some podcasts on the dangers of smoking, which we learnt about during PSHE.

We had an incredible experience, singing with musical accompaniment at the Cresset for the Peterborough Songbook singing day. I'm so proud of them for performing in front of an audience; they sang their hearts out!
