How are we already through a first half-term? It has been such a productive and successful seven weeks. During the last couple of weeks, we have focussed on consolidating the children's understanding of multiplication and division along with their knowledge of multiples, factors and primes. It has been great to see in our last arithmetic assessments the significant progress that many of the Year 6s have made already.
In addition to this, during our last week, we completed our RE day for the half term - Hinduism. During the the day, the children explored the religion's views around karma and the belief that all types of life is sacred. Furthermore, the children used their prior knowledge to contrast and compare religious views around the concept of a god. Finally, they chose a diety to research and write about.
A thoroughly enjoyable half-term!
