Year 5 have organised and participated in a charity car wash this week.
The idea came from a mental health and wellbeing workshop the class had. They were challenged to carry out 100 random acts of kindness to family, friends and the community. The children wanted to make people smile at the same time as raising money for charity so the idea of a car wash was generated. The class decided that they wanted all proceeds to go to the Amazon Children’s ward at Peterborough City hospital to thank them for all the amazing work they do.
To date we have washed approximately 30 cars and raised a massive £225!
We want to thank all staff and parents who have been brave enough to have their car washed by us and for their generosity. We are overjoyed with the amount of money raised.
