Over the last couple of weeks our key text has been "The Three Little Pigs". We have been learning about different joining methods and materials. The children have been really creative drawing designs for their houses, they thought of the key features the house needed (roof, walls, windows and doors) and compared their designs to what their own homes. They choose what materials they wanted to use to construct their homes. They then spend Friday afternoon building them.
Then the most exciting part..... We tested how strong the houses where with a hairdryer, to see if we could blow any of the houses down. They were all strong enough and stayed up!
